This policy is a starting template built for Cabarita Finance and follows the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). It hasn't been reviewed by a solicitor — worth having a lawyer check it over before treating it as final, particularly given the additional obligations that come with holding a credit licence.

Cabarita Finance ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and store it, and the choices you have. It applies to information collected through cabaritafinance.com.au and in the course of providing our finance broking services.

Cabarita Finance is an independent mortgage and finance broking practice based in Cabarita Beach, NSW. Cabarita Finance is a Credit Representative (CRN 579321) of Australian Finance Group Ltd (AFG), Australian Credit Licence 389087.

Identification documents, where required by a lender or by our obligations under Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) law

Most commonly, directly from you — through the enquiry form on this website, by phone, email, or in person or via video call. We may also collect information from a lender, aggregator (AFG), or other party involved in your application, with your consent.

To assess your borrowing needs and, where instructed, prepare and submit a loan application on your behalf to one or more lenders
To communicate with you about your enquiry or application, including the automated confirmation email sent when you submit our contact form

5. Who we may disclose it to

We may disclose your personal information to:

Australian Finance Group Ltd (AFG), our aggregator and Australian Credit Licence holder
Banks, lenders and other credit providers, for the purpose of assessing and processing your application
Credit reporting bodies, where required to assess a credit application
Service providers who support our business operations (for example, our website enquiry form and email tools), who only use your information to deliver that service to us
Government or regulatory bodies, where required by law

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we strive to protect your information, we can't guarantee its absolute security.

7. Cookies and website tools

This website uses a small number of third-party tools to operate — including Calendly for booking meetings, an email delivery service to send enquiry confirmations, and Google Fonts. These tools may process limited technical data (such as your IP address) as part of their normal operation. We don't use this website to run advertising trackers or sell browsing data.
